Aoife Collins

Aoife holds a BA in Music from NUI Maynooth and completed her Professional Diploma in Music Education at Trinity College, Dublin.  She also holds a Diploma in Community and Group Music Teaching from the Royal Irish Academy of Music.  Aoife studied flute with the Cork School of Music and has played first flute with Fermoy Concert Band, County Cork VEC Youth Orchestra, and NUI Maynooth Chamber Orchestra.

Aoife continues to perform at weddings and special occasions with Argento Flute Quartet.  She achieved gold medals in Acting and Verse and Prose with LAMDA.  She has worked as Musical Director for Fermoy Community Youth Centre’s pantomimes Jack and the Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty as well as A Night at the Palace.  Aoife is a secondary school music teacher and has taught in Loreto Bray and Loreto Foxrock, Caritas College in Dublin and Blackwater Community School, Lismore.  She is currently working in the North Monastery CBS, Cork.

Aoife is looking forward to inspiring the next generation of musicians, singers, and performers by working in an engaging, exciting and creative atmosphere.
