Robbie is a first-class honours graduate of the Bmus degree at the CIT Cork School of Music, having specialised in vocal performance and musical direction. This auspicious time in CSM saw Robbie take on many different roles with the CIT Musical Society, direct many of the college’s project ensembles, as well as the formation of the six-part close harmony group CanTur, which highlighted with performances at the National Concert Hall, the INEC Killarney and appearances on RTE television. During this time Robbie also became a member of the Irish Youth Choir, and Irish Youth Chamber Choir, with whom he has performed as a soloist.
Upon graduating Robbie works extensively as a music teacher, conductor, and accompanist across the south of the country. Recent engagements have brought performances in Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Spain and a live broadcast from the BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall. Robbie is proud to sit on Sing Ireland’s Youth Development Committee while undertaking his Masters in Music Performance.
